Rocking Chairs

Our goal is to make your favorite rocking chair. One that becomes a part of your family, handed down from one generation to the next. A place to rock that new baby or grandbaby. A place to rest at the end of hard days. A place to reflect on the good things, and think about the challenges that may lay ahead. So—in our minds—we are not just making a chair. It’s really nice for us to think that—at any time of the day or night—someone somewhere is finding comfort in what we have created. It doesn’t get much better than that!

We’ve learned a few things over the years about making the best rocking chair we can. We've studied the arc of the rockers, the pitch of the seat, the placement of the arms. We've tested and tweaked the height of the back to get it just right, so your head can relax comfortably against the moving blocks. We continue to make small refinements as we attempt to make it perfect.

If you have a special need or request let us know. Though there are some limitations to how we can customize the size of our rockers and chairs, we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

After making our signature rocking chair for 6 years or so, we began exploring the idea of incorporating the same rope/block design into other types of chairs, and dining chairs seemed to be the next right step. In 2011 we introduced our first dining chair and have not looked back. To date we have made hundreds and in many different woods and wood combinations.

Whether it’s a simple side chair at a desk or a full dining set of 14 chairs, it’s rewarding for us to think about all of the families that are enjoying our work every day. We often hear from customers commenting on how they are now lingering longer around the dinner table with friends and family since owning our chairs. Nothing makes us happier.



Dining chairs can come with or without arms. Each chair can be customized with your choice of woods for the frame and block material. There may be an up charge for some rare or exotic hardwoods. On occasions we have been able to accommodate custom sizes, though due to the nature of our designs please understand that some deviations from our standard design are not possible.
